Porter claimed ex-wife’s black eye was from a fall

Former White House staff secretary Rob Porter’s version of his alleged domestic violence includes how one ex-wife suffered a black eye “when she fell.”

Porter told staffers that Colbie Holderness tumbled during a struggle over a piece of glass in a Venetian hotel room, according to ABC News.

Holderness, however, told the Daily Mail that Porter punched her in the face and there is photographic evidence that shows the black eye.

Porter also gave an alternate version of why a restraining order was filed against him by his second ex-wife Jennifer Willoughby.

The former White House staffer claimed he did not smash the glass door at Willoughby’s home.

Instead, he told staffers, his knuckle broke the window “while tapping the glass door pane with his index finger,” the network said.

Willoughby said he punched the door with his fist.

President Trump appeared to be sympathetic to Porter’s position, tweeting over the weekend: “Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation.”
